SNEAK PEEK: The Brightest Firefly

SNEAK PEEK: The Brightest Firefly

With a month and a half before release, I am becoming increasingly excited for my next book. Here is a look at my letter to the reader (You). Preorder today!

Dear Reader,

When I started writing in 2015, I knew I would see my story through to the end. December 6, 2017, my thirty-third birthday, I signed my first ever full length project to a small publishing house. Astonishingly, the book was not the only work I finished within those two years.

About three months into developing my story, and halfway through Apparent Power, I drafted myself into a hole. A major plot point wedged me into a place I could not write myself out of with a considerable amount left to tell. Instead of quitting, I took a yearlong respite from the novel and started my degree in English. I also created a blog where I plunged into new writing styles, often nonfiction. Both pursuits set me up on a journey with many roads.

This publication contains musings of many sorts and dabblings I created over the past four years. I have compiled stories here just as a child collects fireflies. They revealed themselves, rising from my imagination like tiny lights from blades of grass in the dark, and I captured them on the page, a glass jar, to share with you. Various sizes and shapes, each illuminating a corner of my mind to you, the reader. Though some corners may be darker than others, I anticipate you will discover one that radiates brighter than the rest.

Enjoy.
