Help Me Meet a Goal

Help Me Meet a Goal

A lot goes into writing a book, aside from the obvious writing part. This includes beta readers, or friends that read over your rough draft and let you know when things are not going the way they should, or you have a glaring typo that needs to be fixed. Or to genuinely tell me that you are loving it.

Last year, I dusted off my work in progress and decided to join a writing challenge to catapult my story and build good writing habits. It was not long before my book became #1 on the site and won an award. The feedback provided throughout my journey was key in getting published. Thanks to the  10K Word Count Challenge Apparent Power will be available for purchase later this year.

Now, I am working on the follow up book, Shifting Power, and I would like to invite you to join me on the second leg of the story.

Warning!!!!! Even peeking into Book 2 will spoil the suspense of Book 1. But if you joined me one year ago, I would love your input on where I am headed.

Where do I sign up?

First, you must create an account and log into (it is completely free!)

To find my page and work, you can find my profile floating near the top of the Top Authors page. You can become a fan and be notified when the next chapter is posted.

By clicking on my profile, you can read the chapters of Shifting Power and leave your feedback. Please “Buzz Up” the chapter if you like it.

Don’t feel qualified to leave feedback? That is nonsense. As a reader, you are fully qualified to let me know what might work better. All of this will help Shifting Power move up the charts. I would love your help in making it another award winning book.

If you missed the first one, here is a quick overview:

Imagine if Dean Koontz wrote Divergent for adults, only the mom saves the world instead of a teenage girl. THAT is Apparent Power.

An apocalyptic disaster awakens a dormant gene in a quarter of the world’s population. With an even rarer gene, the life VALERIE RUSSELL has turned into a race against time.

Valerie’s genetics are essential in a government plot for domination: morphing into a worldwide totalitarian regime. Stranded in southern Colorado, a hundred miles from home—and from her two-year-old son—the young mother and emergency room nurse finds it within herself to trek the distance with the help of a questionable assembly of ex-military friends of the family. As she desperately seeks to avoid capture, she is also faced with a moral choice: risk failure by trying to save the masses from the rising government or run and preserve only the lives of her family.

Again, I am so excited to spend this March sharing my next story with you. It has been a long-time dream to get this out of my head and into the hands of readers. You all are the BEST!!!
