Back in the Saddle

If you are new to my updates, you might not know my writing career started on a little writing site called

Today the website is exploding with talent and is an amazing space for reader/ writer feedback for your works in progress.

Well, in signing Apparent Power with a publisher, my hobby of serializing my work for the masses to pre-read took a back seat to making money on said works.

Now that I am self-published and Shifting Power is on its way to the editor, I have idle hands to work on other projects.

With an audacious goal to produce 4 new works this year, I am back on to develop my memoir, organize my collection for short stories, and start working on a fantasy novel I have been mulling over for the past seven months.

I have already written and posted the first chapter of my memoir on the site. Check it out and offer some feedback! March is the annual 10k challenge and I have not decided which WIP will be the one. Maybe you could help me decide.

Dacia Arnold is an author that struggles to find a balance of work, motherhood, marriage, writing, and the occasional craft. Her first full length novel, Apparent Power, is in the works to be released December 2018. Dacia served 10 years in the U.S. Army as a combat medic and deployed twice to Iraq and often incorporates these experiences into her writings both fiction and non-fiction. She currently lives in Denver, Co with her husband, two children, and a fat beagle named Watson.

Reader Comments

  1. Hi, Dacia. Looking forward to getting back on Chapter Buzz, posting more of my own work, but especially reading your memoir and the works of Tiffany Doran and others. Shared this on my Twitter and FB. Blessings to you.
